Before you call
It helps to have:
- The property address, so the right local contractor gets your request
- New fence or repair, and roughly how many feet
- The style you want: wood, vinyl, chain link, rail, wire or deer fence
- How many gates, and how wide
- Anything about the ground: slope, rock, or private buried lines
Fence down and animals getting out? Put up a temporary barrier if you can, keep pets and livestock clear of loose wire or boards, and don't dig new post holes until buried lines are marked through Montana 811.
